Who Am I Really?

Oh that's a question! I'm not sure if I'm qualified to answer, but I'm Matthew Bauer, a software engineer that has a healthy balance in my life. I write about Software engineering, movies, anime, manga, games, and other forms of media I consume.

I rock climb, snowboard, I'm a diagnosed celiac, and I enjoy spending time with my wife & two cats.

Fun Facts

• I rescued one of my cats from someones garden when I lived in Wisconsin
• I was born and raised in St. Louis
• My favorite alcoholic beverage is a Sidecar or Between the Sheets (Sugar rim non-optional)
• The home I was raised in had a enormous cemetery behind it and I spent time in my youth hanging out there (I did have a favorite grave that I hung out next to and took care of)
• The hangout spot when I was a kid was inside the sewer pipes
• My cats love sleeping, but they prefer different kinds of beds!
