January 8th, 2021 — The classic gift exchange needs a little bit of a revamp, and I gave it a kick with some new rules.
Client — Oh man, I am not sure where to begin. Matthew excelled during all phases of revamping my website. First, Matthews communication with me was extremely efficient. Matthew has a firm understanding of consumer needs, and packs the knowledge to articulate any issues clearly. Matthews "people skills" were outstanding, I was never left with any unanswered questions. His knowledge is second to none. He literally walked me through some coding and spent a couple of hours on the phone with resolving some issues. I have worked with a few developers and none have promised on their word like Matt. I would recommend Matthews services to anyone seeking branding, modern web design or seeking to revamp their site.
Client — Matt and I have worked on a few projects together. He has been easy to work with and produces great results. I intend to use his skills and services in the future.
Prior Manager — Matt is an aspiring young developer with an eagerness to learn. While at Clinton Electronics, Matt took on many new coding languages such as React & Laravel. He was able to learn them in relatively short time and start contributing code on a regular basis. He also learned how to be a contributing member of an Agile team and improved his communication skills as a result. Everyone here at Clinton Electronics, myself included, is excited to see Matt continue to commit himself to the study and advancement of his skills as a developer. While the web & software development field can be a competitive place to make a name in, Matt has the singular commitment, drive, and passion for succeeding. It was a pleasure to work with Matt during his time at Clinton Electronics, and we wish him the best of luck in his career as a developer.
Co-worker — When Matt joined our team, he quickly came up to speed with our project and began making contributions to our backend code written in PHP with Laravel. In addition, Matt was able to work on our frontend which uses JavaScript and Vue. Matt has helped to drive the project forward by making suggestions on ways to improve processes and optimize code. Matt is friendly, easy to get along with, and a good pair programming partner. Matt has a real passion and enthusiasm for Laravel, PHP and web development. Matt would make a great addition to any team.
Teacher — Matt has been a student of mine for the past year and a half. He has a passion for web development and a passion to succeed! Many students get caught up in the daily homework, labs, and tests and forget to focus on the big picture but Matt does not have that problem. He learns additional skills on top of what is taught in the classroom and attends local developer events to try and broaden his network all of which should help him on path to a successful career in development.
Co-worker — Matt Bauer is a passionate developer. He is interested in different facets of technologies but his real passion was Laravel. Matt was tossed into our project and picked it up quickly. He was able to work on APIs that we needed and when we needed some help with the front-end, he was able to pick that up too, working with Vue.js. Matt would be a great add to your team. He is friendly and helpful and has a big heart.
Educational Peer — I've known Matt for about one year now. We both attended the Internet & Web-Based Technology course at Ranken Technical College. After working with Matt on daily projects and homework assignments I quickly began to realize that he is a very hard working and driven individual. He always applied the things he learned outside of class to the problems at hand. Matt was a big help to me and would make a great asset to any team.
Co-worker — I worked with Matthew for a short time at Intaglio Creative. He is knowledgeable and skilled at his craft. He communicates well and cares about his clients and work.
Client — Matthew did a great job creating my subreddit design on https://www.reddit.com. He did what was asked of him in a timely manner. I highly recommend him for any web development needs, from simple to complex design.
Co-worker — Matt is a very passionate developer. He is highly motivated to learn new things, whether something small like a new library or framework or something large like front-end development. His interest extends beyond daily work and you can count on him to provide an opinion on software solutions across the gamut. While at Clinton Electronics he contributed both to the back-end and front-end applications we develop. While initially being hired to work solely on the back-end, he did not shy away from learning new things and venturing out into front-end territory. I believe Matt will excel at building websites for any business or organization. I'm glad for the experience of working with him, and for the things he contributed to the team while he was here at Clinton Electronics.
Teacher — Matthew was a pleasure to have in my Introduction to Business and Management class His assignments were always submitted on time and always well done! His attendance record was exemplary. He regularly contributed in a very meaningful way to our daily class discussions. And he knew what he was talking about. I strongly recommend Matthew for any position for which his many skills would be a great match for the organization.
